Dr. Andrea Eisgruber PT, DPT, PRPC, CSCS, CET, CLT-UE, CDNT, is a board-certified pelvic floor physical therapist. She graduated from Virginia Tech (go Hokies!) with a dual major in biology and English. She went on to graduate from Shenandoah University with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree and has been practicing in outpatient orthopedics with a specialized focus in pelvic health since. Dr. Andrea has 16 years of experience in the pelvic health field, earning her various titles and recognitions in the field as an expert across pelvic health, from incontinence, pelvic pain, tailbone pain, perinatal, to men’s pelvic pain, and post-operative care. Included in her advanced achievements are advanced certifications in strength and conditioning through NSCA, cancer exercise specialization, dry needling, lymphedema treatment, as well as pelvic health designations across genders and lifespan, including pediatric pelvic health. Dr. Andrea believes in treating the whole patient, not just the dysfunction.

When she is not treating patients, Dr. Andrea enjoys reading, Pilates, and spending time with her husband, 3 children, and German Shepherd.

Dr. Kristen Joyce earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Maryland, Baltimore. She found her love for treating pelvic and sexual dysfunction during her last internship in school. Treating as a pelvic physical therapist since that point, Dr. Joyce believes the best physical therapist is one that merges expertise on both orthopedics and pelvic physical therapy to treat the whole client. Giving up to date, evidence-based care, Dr. Joyce is an expert and leader in her field, working closely with surgeons and medical doctors on the latest technology and improvements, particularly with gender affirmation procedures. She has been certified by Herman & Wallace as a Pelvic Rehabilitation Practitioner (PRPC), the top certification available.

Dr. Joyce specializes in the care and treatment of the LGBTQIA+ community, including care of post-operative gender affirming surgeries. Dr. Joyce also specializes in individuals undergoing fertility treatments or along their fertility journey, clients with hypermobility disorders, endometriosis/PCOS, and pre/post surgical (bladder sling, hysterectomy, endometriosis surgery, etc.) She also had an extensive knowledge in the treatment of pelvic pain, sexual dysfunction, urinary and fecal incontinence and pregnancy and postpartum related impairments, as well as treating clients with a history of trauma.

Additionally, Dr. Joyce is a Clinical Instructor, mentor to rising pelvic PT’s, and lectures and lab assists at the university level and a lead mentor in Indigo’s rigorous mentorship program which prepares practitioners to treat even the most complex cases.

Having participated in a wide variety of sports including swimming, Tae Kwon Do, cheerleading, ice skating and softball, Dr. Michelle became fascinated by the human body and its amazing capabilities. This led her to pursue a career in physical therapy. Dr. Michelle received her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Maryland, then continued her path towards physical therapy after moving to Australia for worldly experience. Dr. Michelle graduated with honors from the University of Melbourne’s Doctor of Physical Therapy program before moving back to the US.

Through years of experience in the orthopedic setting, she developed a unique treatment approach which includes a strong focus on exercise, manual therapy, the mind-body connection and holistic, person-centered wellness. She has a passion for teaching people about their bodies so they can stay happy, healthy and continue doing what they love. Dr Michelle’s professional experience fostered a growing passion for pelvic rehabilitation as she became increasingly aware of the importance of a healthy pelvic floor in whole-body healing. She completed further training in pelvic floor physical therapy through Herman & Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute. As a recreational barbell athlete, she has a special interest in working with pregnant and postpartum strength athletes to help them safely continue or return to exercise. She is currently pursuing a professional certification in Pregnancy & Postpartum Athleticism through the Pelvic Global Academy.

In her free time, Dr. Michelle can be found hiking or mountain biking with her husband Mike and dog Odin, traveling to National Parks, working out, listening to audiobooks or seeing live music. She is excited to continue to grow as a therapist with the Indigo Physiotherapy team.

Dr. Liz Stadler earned her Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, and Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Ithaca College in the Finger Lakes region of NY. She has been passionate about working with neurological, orthopedic, and pediatric populations throughout her career.

Dr. Liz became interested in pelvic physical therapy when she noticed many of her clients in various settings struggling with aspects of pelvic health including pain, dysfunction, and incontinence. She witnessed the physical as well as psychological impacts that these concerns had on many of her clients. Dr. Liz has undergone pelvic health physical therapy training for both adult and pediatric populations.

Dr. Liz takes a whole-body and fully integrative approach when treating clients. She enjoys problem solving and thinking outside of the box. She prioritizes being up to date on current research and practices and is engaged within the medical/therapy community. Dr. Liz is trained in Visceral Manipulation through the Barral Institute, experienced in advanced assessment of gait mechanics in pediatric and adult populations, and implements myofascial work and fascial alignment work with all patients. She takes the time to work with clients at their own pace and view interactions as needed through a trauma-informed lens.

Additionally, Dr. Liz completed her 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training, focusing on alignment-based, mindful yoga for all ages in 2018. She has also been on the adjunct faculty staff at The University of Maryland Baltimore School of Medicine Physical Therapy Department since 2018.

She enjoys teaching and mentoring other physical therapists, students, and allied health professionals.
